Physical and Mechanical Testing Laboratory
The TÜRKÇİMENTO Physical and Mechanical Test Laboratory conducts the following accredited tests on cement and similar construction materials:
In addition to the accredited tests listed above, the laboratories also determine physical properties such as particle size distribution in cement and mineral additives and cement hydration heat. Moreover, they assess properties related to aggregates, which are raw materials for cement and concrete, including particle size distribution, density, water absorption, potential alkali-silica reactivity, freeze-thaw resistance, and wear tests (Los Angeles, Nordic, Micro-Deval), as well as concrete's compressive strength and elasticity modulus. The services provided by these laboratories also include optimizing grinding work indices in cement raw materials and grinding energy and product quality in coal samples.
For lime samples, the laboratories conduct tests for water demand, penetration, yield, volume stability, and reactivity.
n addition to European standards, the Research and Development Institute's physical and mechanical test laboratories also perform tests compliant with American standards (ASTM), such as sulfate resistance tests in cement, compressive strength in cement, flow table and water demand tests.
These laboratories can provide consultancy services related to cement and concrete, prepare concrete mix designs for different use cases and conditions in construction, and perform experiments and measurements related to the suitability of concrete chemical additives, particularly in practical applications.
