Chemical and Instrumental Analysis Laboratory
This laboratory conducts the following accredited tests on cement and similar construction materials:
Inductively Coupled Plasma-Optical Emission Spectrometer (ICP-OES) instrument is being used for the qualitative and quantitative elemental analysis in high sensitivity and ppb / ppm levels of cement and raw material samples.
With ICP-OES instrument, the amounts of main oxides (SiO2 , Al2 O3 , Fe2 O3 , CaO, MgO, Na2 O, K2 O) and trace element oxides (TiO2, Mn2O3, P2O5, Cr2O3 , NiO, ZnO) in samples are determined.
•Total alkali and water soluble alkali analyses of samples are made by flame photometer.
•With the ICP-OES device, the main oxide (SiO2, Al2O3, Fe2O3, CaO, MgO, Na2O, K2O) and minor element oxide amounts (TiO2, Mn2O3, P2O5, Cr2O3, NiO, ZnO) are determined in the samples.
•Inductively Coupled Plasma – Optical Emission Spectrometer (ICP-OES) device is used for qualitative and quantitative elemental analysis of cement and raw material samples with high sensitivity and ppb/ppm levels.
